Brow Mapping: Measuring & Marking Your Brows

You might be asking yourself, “What is brow mapping?"

Brow mapping is a technique used to help you achieve brows that are more symmetrical in appearance based on your natural eye and brow shape into consideration.

Don’t worry, there is a part two in case you feel overwhelmed with the process.

For now, here is what you will need to get started with part of one of mapping your brows:

1. Brow pencil

2. And/or makeup brush

Note: You may also use a thin makeup brush to take your measurements, but you will need a brow pencil to make your markings.

Now that you’ve got your brow pencil or makeup brush, you will need to find where your brow is meant to start, finish, and arch.

Take your brow pencil or your brush and use the end to mark in the following areas:

  • The brow should begin directly aligned above the center of the nostrils

  • The arch should be where the middle of your iris diagonally meets with the tip of the nose

  • The brow tail should end at the corner of the nostril that aligns with the outer corner of the eye

Once you have made your marks, you can move on to the next step of filling in your brows by reading part 2.
